Fred Hall

HeadShot-FredHallMr. Hall is Vice President and General Manager of the Bridgeport and Port Jefferson Steamboat Company which provides ferry services for passengers and vehicles across Long Island Sound. He first joined the company in 1976 as a part time employee while holding positions on both the agency and client sides in advertising, marketing and public relations.

Joining the organization full time in 1982, Mr. Hall first managed the Bridgeport terminal operation before being named Assistant General Manager and was named General Manager in 1984 and Vice President in 1985.

His professional affiliations include membership in the NYS Tour Boat Association; the Passenger Vessel Association where he was a founder of the ferry council, is a long time member of the legislative committee, twelve year member of the board of directors, and served as the PVA president in 2002. In addition, Mr. Hall has held membership and/or committee posts in the Long Island Association, Greater Bridgeport Regional Business Council, Long Island Museum, Connecticut Maritime Association and Connecticut Maritime Coalition. He is a former director of the Port Jefferson Chamber of Commerce and currently serves on the board of the Port Jefferson Harbor Education and Arts Conservancy. He was a Charter Member and Company Captain of the Nissequogue Fire Department and was a founding member and chairman of the Four Harbors Chapter of Ducks Unlimited, a leading conservation organization dedicated to wetlands conservation and preservation.

An avid sportsman, Mr. Hall holds memberships in the Peconic River Sportsman’s Club and Pattersquash Gunners Association.
